Yesterday I did something I really never thought I will be doing in my life. I went to Portuguese TV- TVI– to share my trip and my adventures in Southeast Asia.
I was invited by the Portuguese TV channel to introduce my story to the audience and share how such an idea of traveling for months comes to life and how does it change you. I never realized it had changed me until I’m back to European soil. Only confronted with this different reality you realize that you are thinking differently and not giving the same care you did before to some things. I told Manuel Luís Goucha– the hoster- that seeing how those people can look so happy with so little is a life lesson.
It teaches you that you might actually not need so many material things to feel happiness, and I also had the purest feeling of freedom, mainly in Myanmar.
I told to millions of Portuguese watching the show that something like this is an unforgettable feeling and I hope my story has somehow inspired someone to do the same, cause it’s the best thing that happened in my life, to experience a different reality. I received so many messages congratulating me or even from people that are identified with the same feeling of traveling… I need to thank them all. Don’t be afraid to risk heading to the unknown. It’s hard to say goodbye but it’s even harder to come back. You just feel like staying there…
Here’s a snick pick from the show Você na TV – You on TV. You might need to learn some Portuguese to understand. 🙂
