Another way to enjoy Krabi to its full is by doing the 4 Islands tour, a tour that will take you to the amazing islands around Krabi and will last the whole day with lunch included.
In Ao Nang beach you will find several tour operators selling this pack, just pay attention to the cheapest price. I went with 3 other friends and eventually, our group got bigger as I found a Brazilian girl and could practice some Portuguese with her.
This 4 Islands tour included a visit to Ko Poda, Chicken Island, Isola Tup and the Princess Cave, so it’s after all not exactly 4 islands… I have already been to Princess Cave, but nevermind I can go again as this place is really beautiful! We start the tour in the morning and arrive before sunset. These tours could be better, or maybe if you buy it from another tour operator it would have been better. I don’t have a way to compare it so I don’t know…
This is a 4 Island tour, but one of the places isn’t an Island, and during the day we were informed that we wouldn’t be going to another of the Islands because of bad weather or just some excuse they decided to make up at that time. These tours I have done in Thailand are not so cool, sometimes it feels like they are not totally honest with you, but anyway, the places are worth it.
Another thing that didn’t go so well at the beginning was the waiting time. We had some problem with our boat and needed to wait for some fixing, we were exchanging boats and all this mess was lasting for around 1 hour. Not cool at all. Fortunately, we had visited some crystal clear water spots to snorkel which was awesome. They take you to the best snorkeling spot around, which is nice. The Islands we visited had the most beautiful blue ever. Mesmerizing! The lunch was also good! They had vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals and some fruits for dessert.
After all, the day was worthy and our Thai guide on the boat was a very nice guy, but just like many other guides, the English level doesn’t allow us to understand everything he says. It’s a struggle to understand every guide I had in Thailand although they make an effort…
I think the 4 Islands tour is worthy, so if you have a chance do it.
