I decided to stay in Quang Ngai one more day because of the Tet holiday as things weren’t working as usual. During the Vietnamese New Year, most of businesses are closed and transportation is sold out. So I had to find somewhere near Quang Ngai City that could be worth a visit. But after the previous day’s landscapes, this day would be hard to be as pleasant. It wasn’t haha. We decided to explore Quang Ngai’s coastline and beaches.
On the way to the first place of the day, we stopped near Sa Ky Port where there are hundreds of fishing boats docked. From above this is quite a sight, but we don’t have a drone, so the pictures weren’t that amazing. But, some award-winning pictures were taken here in the past.
Ba Tan Gan
The first place we decided to visit was Bien Ba Lang An or Ba Tan Gan aka Batangang. The place was actually crowded. It is the new year and Vietnamese are exploring too. The area has a nice small beach, but it wouldn’t be a place I would come to sunbathe because there is no one showing off skin here haha. The place has many seafood restaurants overlooking the ocean and offers a nice chilling spot. After a short walk around, we decided to move on to another spot.
Swiftlets bay
This spot was recommended by our hotel manager in Quang Ngai so we added it to our stops for the day. I’m not sure why, but this place seemed to be very popular. It looked like nothing out of the ordinary. I was surprised it had an entrance fee to access the beach. We decided not to pay. Honestly, the place didn’t look that attractive, or maybe it was the weather that wasn’t helping. Disappointing. Not worth our time. And so crowded…
Den Bien Van Ca
This was our last stop of the day and the most rewarding, I think. Besides the cloudy weather, the beach here looked so charming with big boulders on the sand, a cute little restaurant by the beach, a lighthouse, and 360º views of the surrounding landscape. I saw a lot of potential in this spot honestly. The beach was very wide and clean too. Even with the grey clouds, the water seemed to be pretty, I could only imagine under the sunshine. I’m sure this beach is beautiful!
And that was all we have seen on this day. Not much and definitely couldn’t beat the beauty of QL24B street done the previous day and the best plan for a day in Quang Ngai honestly.
