After Ko Phi Phi I’m heading to Khao Sok, a place I had no idea that existed a few days ago. Phi Phi was my last plan in Thailand. After it, I had no idea where I will be going, but during my stay in Krabi, other traveler told me about this place. So, from Phi Phi to Khao Sok it is.
Those travelers have been in this place and told me awesome things about it, and after checking a few images I was convinced. Khao Sok National Park is a place with enormous beauty and the only jungle contact I had during this trip.

Getting from Phi Phi to Khao Sok is a long journey. I bought my ticket at one of the numerous tour operators in Phi Phi that includes the ferry and a minivan to Khao Sok. I departed in the morning and arrived Kaho Sok after 4 PM. During the boat ride, there is a Thai man that sits next to me. No problem until he gets too close and looks like chasing me around. I’m thinking that probably I’m just overthinking. Once I left the pier and was looking for my minivan to Kaho Sok, there is the same guy. Once he sees me he smiles and comes after me. He offers me an opened bottle of Coca-Cola and I was already finding him suspicious, I don’t accept. He was having a weird behavior and told me where to go to catch the minivan. I go with him, but not alone. If the way he was pointing me had no one else, I wouldn’t follow him. Once we reach the minivan I say to the driver where I’m going and he states that this is not my minivan. I was getting very confused and I started to think why the hell is that guy telling me to go there if it’s not the right place. After that, I haven’t seen him anymore. I have no idea what were his intentions but after this, I’m glad I haven’t drunk what he offered me.

There are only 2 more girls heading Khao Sok, so I stick around them. Apparently, they bought a ticket with a different company so we aren’t leaving in the same van. My van arrives and is the most comfortable ever and I had it all for me. After a few minutes ride, we stop and wait. I don’t know what is going on, but I’m not nervous about it. After all, we were waiting for another minivan that was going to Khao Sok almost full. I trust that they changed me to this Van so I don’t go all alone in one car and this driver does all this huge journey with one person. They exchange some money between them and I move to the other almost full minivan.
The first minivan was way more comfortable, but I understand their position, so it’s ok.
Finally, we reach Khao Sok after a long drive from Krabi among limestone cliffs and a beautiful view outside. The bus stop at a bus station in Khao Sok that is on the main road, and from there we are on our own. Luckily the Hostel where I’m staying has a free shuttle and I met another traveler that is staying there and we go together.
We are staying at The Jungle Hostel and I’m the first Portuguese client ever.
