I came to Koh Phangan with interest in participating in the Full Moon party, and I did, but I also wanted to explore the Island… As I have twisted my ankle a few days ago, I won’t be able to walk to explore it neither I will rent a motorbike to do it. I promised I wouldn’t go on a motorbike on my own anymore.
The Hostel where I’m staying has a beach nearby and that was my destination all the time. I don’t know the name of this beach, but we can see Koh Samui in a distance. It doesn’t look very far. This beach where I’m going every day is a 10 min walk from the Hostel so it’s perfect for my foot. It a wide beach with clear water and some kitesurfers enjoying the wind. Actually, this was the only beach where I saw people kitesurfing and it was also the windiest one I have been to in Thailand. Koh Phangan wasn’t feeling so hot when I visited. This beach has really few people having sun baths. You have plenty of space for you. It was also here where I got the first rainy day in 2 months. I was actually planning to visit Ko Mae Ko, but with the rain, I gave up. This is some kind of not touristic Halong Bay in Vietnam. It looks wonderful and I would really like to visit it… Next time.
I also visited a few things that are nearby. There is a food market 1 minute away from the Hostel which was awesome. I also visited a street market that happened on a Saturday. I visited the Phangan Royal Navy Ship. I’m pretty sure there are a lot of interesting things to see and visit on the island but I really couldn’t walk. That’s one of the things I most pity from the whole trip and that’s why I will not ride a motorbike anymore so I won’t waste my time in Thailand doing anything.
My next destination is Krabi and at least I’m feeling way better from my foot.
