What did you like most in Thailand?
What I enjoyed most about Thailand is the huge variety of things to do. From getting lost in the city of Bangkok to the jungle in Khao Sok to the beaches of Koh Tao or the parties of Koh Phangan. Thailand has so much to offer it’s hard to get bored!
Would you visit Thailand again? Which place would you return to?
For sure — although I definitely want to explore more of Asia before returning to Thailand. The one place I will miss is Pai, a backpacker town in the North. Surrounded by incredible jungle and filled with travelers from all around the world Pai carries a certain vibe with it that’s hard to find anywhere else. Staying in the center you can easily rent a motorbike and cruise up to one of the nearby caves. The ride is a picturesque two hour journey through the green mountains, the views are so amazing it’s worth stopping every now and again to take it all in.
Shooting this film out in Thailand was important to me — I wanted to show Thailand for everything it had to offer and a huge part of traveling through Thailand is doing so on a motorbike! If you want to get an idea of what Thailand is like I suggest taking a look at the film.

Is there someplace in Thailand that you haven’t visited yet, but you would really like to visit?
To be honest, instead of visiting more places I would have liked to travel a bit slower! In order to create the best film in Thailand myself and my fellow filmmaker Archie Baker decided to travel through the whole country in 3 weeks.
Although the trip was incredible it would have been great to stretch our same journey out to a couple of months! The best part about traveling is all of the unexpected things that happen along the way. Giving yourself more time in each place allows you to be more flexible; if you want to stay in a certain place a bit
longer, do so. Similarly, if you meet some people along the way and want to travel with them for some time you can do that as well!
What impressed you the most about the country’s culture?
What impressed me most was the incredible warmth and welcomeness that I came across. The locals are polite and friendly.

Would you advise your friends to visit? Why?
Absolutely, Thailand is one of the most tourist-friendly places I’ve been to. If you have a sense of adventure, like warm weather and are open to new experiences this is the place for you!
What is your favorite country so far?
I don’t know if I have a favorite country to visit, l like particular countries for different reasons. However, one of my favorites has to be South Africa — and within South Africa, Cape Town. The people, the weather and the varying nature around it will always bring me back. Surf in the ocean at sunrise and travel to Stellenbosh for some of the best wine tasting in the world. The creative community within Cape Town is also growing at a huge rate and seeing some of the film work that has been coming from there has been hugely inspiring.
